Installation Guide

  1. Switch off the power at the breaker and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Screw the mounting bracket (from inside the copper canopy) to the ceiling junction box.
  3. Set the drop: hang the bottom of the shade 30–36″ (76–91 cm) above an island or table; adjust the cord through the canopy grip.
  4. Connect the wires: black (hot) to black, white (neutral) to white, and the green or bare copper ground to ground, using wire nuts.
  5. Push the wires into the box, slide the copper canopy up and tighten its screws.
  6. Fit the included LED bulb, restore power and enjoy the glow.

Several pendants? Space them 24–30″ (60–76 cm) apart, centre to centre, and keep 6″ (15 cm) from each end of the island.

Hardwired fixture. For your safety we recommend installation by a licensed electrician according to the NEC and your local codes.

This pendant is hardwired and installs on a standard ceiling junction box using the included solid copper canopy (Ø 4 in / 10 cm), on flat or sloped ceilings.

Copper is a living material: the hand-aged patina will keep developing character over the years — that is part of its beauty.

To care for it, simply dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid metal polish, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, which can strip the handcrafted aged surface. Fingerprints can be removed with a slightly damp cloth followed by a dry one.

Is the rustic aged copper texture real or painted?

Real. Each copper pendant shade is hand-hammered, then aged by hand with heat and natural oxidation to bring out its deep chocolate-to-amber tones — nothing is painted, sprayed or printed on. That is why no two handmade copper light fixtures look exactly the same.

Is the bulb included?

Yes. Every copper ceiling light comes with an LED bulb, a standard US E26 socket, premium-quality wire and the matching solid copper canopy, so your pendant light arrives ready to install.

Can I choose the cord or chain length?

Yes. Select a hanging length above — cord lengths are made to your order at no extra cost. Upgrading the suspension to a solid brass chain (+$50) or a solid brass rod (+$100) is also made to your length, up to a maximum of 6 ft / 1.83 m.

What size pendant light do I need over a kitchen island?

For kitchen island lighting, two or three smaller copper pendants of about 8″–10″ (20–25 cm) in diameter work well together, while a single 12″ (30 cm) shade suits a compact island or a breakfast nook. Over a dining table, in an entryway or under a high ceiling, one large pendant of 16″ (40 cm) or more reads as a statement piece.

Truly beautiful piece of functional art. Hammered copper with slight patina, the perfect look for our Lake house. Arrived safe and in one piece. It probably bounced around in the box but it made it. Some fraying of the wire cover due to exposure / wear on the packaging in transit. I was able to cut the covering off and just have the cable which looks great and better in my opinion. Highly recommend for the craftsmanship and one of a kind piece. Cheaper alternatives are not cheaper, but they are cheap. This is real copper not painted aluminum or some other cheap metal. It comes direct from Casablanca Morrocco. Even the bill of lading is worth saving it's so fun!
